1. Toast the bread.

2. Peel the garlic and brush the clove on the bread once this is toasted.

3. Slice the tomatoes and place these on top of the bread.

4. Drizzle generously with olive oil and season liberally with sea salt and a good grind of black pepper.

5. Lay the ham on top, then the oregano.

6. Enjoy with a lovely brew and contemplate the day ahead.

2 large, ripe tomatoes (or a couple of handfuls of lovely little cherry ones)


Fresh oregano


1 clove of garlic
